John deere l100 reverse issue

I have a 2004 john deere l110 and it has lost it's torque going in reverse. When I go in reverse up slight inclines, it sometimes just spins the wheels or does not move at all. Does the long belt cause it to go in reverse. I don't mean the mower deck belt. Thanks in advance.
