hi y'all,
has anyone heard of any bad or good things about the jd l1oo lawn tractors?

Two weeks ago I bought a used Scotts 2048 which is identical to the JDL120 only Orange. It had 10 hrs on the meter. They were sold by HD but this year JD/HD is selling everything as Green. Anyway, this weekend was the first chance I had to use it. My first impression is very positive. It runs circles around the old Ford YT16 that I had been using. Much heavier and better on the slopes I have. Also performed well in some wet areas I have. Love the foot operated hydro and the fact that it has the override so you can back up without shutting down the mower. (I don't think the 100/110 has that feature) Time will tell, but for now I am pleased with how it handles itself.

Just bought a JD L110. Have only used it once and it did really well. Had a new Craftsman LXT 1000 and everytime I started up a hill it quit running, repairman said it did not have a fuel pump and was getting an air lock /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Sears was good though, they gave me my money back. The John Deere goes up the hills well, has a fuel pump and cuts fairly even. It is not a $5000 Deere but for the money seems well built.

thanks for the input. i went ahead and purchased the l100, the size fits my needs for the yard...will let y'all know of my impressions.

Think you'll like it. I have a JD LX277 and love it. Great cut, can pull a 17 CF wagon full of wood (or anything else - including gravel). Congrats on the choice and keep us posted.
