Price depends on a variety of factors. For lawn tractors, the key points are:
- Age
- Hours
- Condition
For the LT155, going range from what I see is $500-$1,800 with average being around $1,000-$1,200 for a '99-'00 model. Might pay a little more if it has a bagger or is in outstanding condition.

I have an LT-155 and it has been just an okay lawn tractor. I have problems with the charging circuit and I finally disconnected the head lights and it maintains a battery charge.
Also had some issues with the mower deck leveling, mainly me I guess, but the dealer was to have set it up properly before I accepted it, seems to me they just throw the deck on and I got it as is.
Keep in mine too that the LT series was in short term manufacturing by John Deere while the redesigned they new lawn tractors. So it was only offered for a few years. I am still able to get parts for mine so they do take care of my needs.
If it is in good shape and if you can check the mower deck out, mainly the spindles and they are turn smoothly it might be a good mower for you. If it was me I think I would start looking for a GT model with hydraulics for the mower deck.
Just my two cents for whatever that is worth.

You can buy bearings and rebuild deck spindles if you are handy with tools. I did mine for about 10 bucks each.
