I suppose it is unreasonable to expect the NH guys to keep up with the Deere specs! I wouldn't if I were you. Since the 4410 seemed to be outfitted just the way I wanted, here is a brief description: 35hp/hydro/61" heavy duty loader bucket/18" heavy duty backhoe bucket w/8.5' digging depth/worklights etc... Thanks for any suggestions you might have.

The highest HP in the mid-chassis size for NH is the TC33DA at 33 HP. It is a bit smaller in size than the 4410. The NH site leaves a little to be desired when looking at implements, but it looks like the TC33DA will handle the 758C backhoe. It is 8.5 ft. If you want to have 35 HP like before, you would need to step up in size to a large-chassis CUT, the TC35DA. That, too, would handle the 758C hoe. The hydro on the TC33DA is the treadle pedal design, which means the brakes are on the same side as the hydro pedal. If differential braking is important to you, this may prove to be quite difficult. You'd have to step up to the large-chassis NH (TC35DA, 40DA, & 45DA) to get the dual pedal like you had before on the 4410. The curved hoods and loaders on the NH's will give better visibility than the 4410 would. And lastly, good luck in your endeavour! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

That's useful advice. thank you. The NHs seem to be priced lower than the Deeres of comparable HP and frame size.

It sounds like you may need to change your name from Dave4410 to DaveTC(whatever model you get). /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Dave, I've looked at the 4410's specs on the JD website and I think the TC35DA will compare very close to the 4410. It's about 300 lb heavier and will have the 16LA or 17LA loader. Tires are larger and the hydraulic pump will put out an additional 1 gpm flow. The loader joystick has the electronic shift feature that is easily one of my favorite features.

I think you should try both the NH TC33DA and The TC35DA, but I think you will really like the TC35DA because it has a little more "beef." /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

What does this thing do?

A button on the joystick lets you go from "turtle" to "rabbit" range (and back) very quickly. Very useful in loader situations.

Ok, I know what you're talking about now. It is that "DualPower" thing isn't it? I thought it was a separate lever rather than on the FEL lever. So the CaseIH version has this, too then? Looks like what was shown in the Farmall brochure.

Yep! JayC, it's really called "dual power" and I normally refer to it as my "rabbit-turtle" switches. I also called it "electronic" which is a misnomer. It's just a switch and latching relay circuit that energizes or deenergizes a solenoid. The solenoid changes the swashplate angle in the hydrostatic transmission's motor between 9° and 15°. The pump's swashplate angle is controlled by the forward and reverse treadles. The combination of the mechanical high/low range and the rabbit/turtle switch gives you four gear ranges. It only took me half a heartbeat to fall in love with this feature. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
