Disc Harrow john deere pull type disc

Anyone heard of a John Deere off-set, pull type disc that shows a model number 9PK-02 on the nameplate? An online search did not produce any results. The nameplate reads John Deere Killefer Works. The disc needs some new discs, a cylinder, new tires, and some spools. I was hoping to be able to look up some part numbers before I purchased. Attached is a picture of the nameplate, and and overall pic. Any other comments about the viability of bringing this disc back to life are welcome.

Here's an online parts catalog for the PK offset disc. http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/pdfs/PC0843.pdf You can copy and paste the part number to Google, and if an aftermarket supplier handles parts, and happens to add replacing the JD part number, you may find some parts there also. Easiest way to find anything, is to use a part number.

I've worked on a disc that looks identical to your pictures. I'm not sure if it's a PK or not, but I'm thinking that a lot of the parts are the same as a 1630 John Deere tandem disc. 1630's are very sought after discs around my area.

i restored a similar type disc, in far worse condition. not a Deere but an Athens Plow. finding parts was relatively easy. i sandblasted the entire thing after dis-assembly and added all new bearings, bearing hangers, disks, and hydraulics, and fasteners. I probably spent $2,000, but the disc is worth far more than that. its a beast! my only caution would be to be sure you have enough tractor. My 75 horse can bearly handle it, and if its wet, forget it. But it works incredibly well

Beautiful job HCJtractor! I'm a fan of the smooth blades too. They do a much better job than notched blades. Makes me want my Athens 127 back.

HCJ, you did a fabulous job on that Athens plow. I used to work for the company that bought them. Athens made great stuff. They even had their own foundry at the plant in Athens, TN.

An offset disc is a lot more aggressive than a tandem disc, and requires a lot more horsepower. But they will really turn the soil much, much better than a tandem disc.
