JOHN DEERE THREE BAG LEAF VACUUM PARTS

I posted two weeks ago that I found two holes in the Power Flow Blower housing this spring . The Power Flow had less then 12 hours run time and John Deere will not stand behind it .

I am not going to pay to fix it total junk but I am going to part it out . I have three as new bags the hood and mounting frame . All to be sold for best offer .

Post a pic or two of the holes you found in the PFB. Puzzles me that you could get holes from normal use. My Power Flow on one tractor is near 20 years of use. Would like to see what holes you have experienced.

The two holes are about 3 0-clock an 4 0-clock so both are on the back side . No way they rubbed anything .

I put some white stuff inside to help show up the holes .

If it were me I would patch the hole and keep going. I have about 100 hours on my blower with no damage so far.

Yes they can but this Power Flow has been down and repaired three times in 10/12 hours run time .
This has been a total fail on John Deere,s part and my part . Some time you need to just cut the loss .
I got a call yesterday from a JD manager and they (JD) is rethinking my problems .
I do not need the Power Flow until fall so I do have time . If JD does fix this I will sell it or trade it .

It could be faulty molding process that is causing these problems. Voids in the mold that were not properly filled. Just a guess.

I have not heard of many problems with these blowers (none I can remember). Mine does a great job with the MC519 cart.

I'm with jenkinsph on a possible mold problem, but not in the shell, but maybe with the fan and its shaft, bearings. Movement that no one can see, because its covered. I would get a face shield and good light source and slow motion the rotation of the fan, looking into the discharge chute. It may even need a strobe, to see any deviation in the fan rotation.

I do think The Power Flow had a problem . It was build new with the wrong bolts (to long) in the steel side plate . After the first use the rotor was banged up and replaced (rotor an bolts ) I just would get it back to working then sell or trade it (I have bad it)

Line it with sheet metal
