Dave How do I pm. Never done that b4. Thanks
Here is the X300 schematic, as said it can vary over the years.
Thanks for the X300 schematic. - After looking at it & talking to DaveM7040 I have ordered a new electronic interlock module. I have checked all other switches & safetys. I will post back up once I get the new part & test it with the results. Thanks to all who posted, Bill
there is absolutely no reason for a electronic interlock module other than to make money selling the part when it fails.. -MSEE so I know what I'm talking about.. JD likes to make money..
OK- Got the new part today & installed it, Took all of 5 minutes. Cut for about 15 minutes then the moment of truth. Pulled the mower deck engage & viola- She works again - tried it 3 more times off & on just to verify. All Good. Just an fyi the old part number was AM135490 & new replacement is AM141075. When I pulled the old ecu I could actually see 3 bubbles in the protective rubber covering where it looks like a resistor or whatever underneath had melted or at least gotten way too hot. The new one was perfectly flat. I am gonna try & tear it down to see what lies underneath soon. Hope this may help someone else on down the road. Again thanks to all who posted especially, DaveM7040 for all the time he spent helping me troubleshoot the problem. Happy holiday to all. Bill
I have an X300 with the same symptoms. Runs for awhile then PTO cuts out and will not restart. Wait for it to cool down, and PTO works again. So I am about to order a replacement ECU. Before doing so, is there anyway to test the existing ECU to confirm that it is bad?
I dont know an exact way to troubleshoot the ecu- I had checked all the other switches & verified that the clutch would still pull in by direct power to it ( bypassing to 12 volts ). Where are u located? Any one close to you with a like mower that u could swap out the ecu on to verify? One bolt holds it on. Good Luck
