John Deere X585/595

Hi All,

Just checked the turning radius on my 2210 and it is 28" also. Just for grins, I also measured how far the 62" MMM sticks out past the wheels (~10"), so you can figure this combo will cut grass around 36" dia. tree beds. I don't remember my 425 being much better. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks, thanks, thanks to those of you who told me to consider a 2210 instead of a 595. I looked at one today with a F/E loader and thought it was centerfold material! I'll be buying it as soon as my 165 hour 345 sells. Now my big question is; do any dealers "deal" on price or is every JD dealer required to sell at list? If so what would a reasonable discount be?

paultavilla,

My own experience is that dealers will deal ~ 14-16% off of JD list. That goes for the tractor as well as the attachments/implements you buy. Also I've heard regional prejudices can and will apply. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

My suggestion is go for some intense negotiations; who knows what you will end up saving. It's certainly worth a try!

Hi, Paul. I agree the 2210 is beautiful. However, I think you might be just a little confused right now. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I my neck of the woods (MD/PA) I can buy the 2210 w/ the 210 FEL (53" bucket) for ~ $10,700 ($13,200 list ~19% off list) - $300 JD attachment incentive...net $10,400.

I priced a 2210/FEL/62C here in TN at $13,800. If you price this same thing on Deere.com it comes to $15,214. So the dealer is giving a little over 10% discount. Another dealer only wanted to give about 5%. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

JD Fanatic-
I also measured the turning radius like you did and got 52” D/2 = 26”, but I have the 54C so it sticks out about 6”. 26”-6”=20 x2 =40” diameter uncut circle.

How about that your 2210 uncut circle is smaller than my X585!

paultavilla,

I just purchased 2210, 210 loader, 54C" deck, and filled rear tires here in Chicago area for $12950. 1st dealer (closest one to my house gave me something like $14250, and the best price he would do was $13,900. It pays to shop around. I think I could have done better, but proximity to dealer was more important than a few hundred dollars more. I liked the idea of Filled tires instead of the weight box.

Thanks to all who responed to my question and gave additional info. You have helped change my decision and am now purchasing a 2210 with FE loader , mower and rear blade. Special thanks to h20camper, JDFanatic, Maxfli, 44trxfun and DJLX. Another question: I've seen on this forum that a rear mounted snow blower/thower is available. Moreinfo? Is this one of the JD attachments? Since snow removal is one of the main excuses for purchasing this "tool" does this make sense in combination with FE loader instead of rear blade?? Also, dealer is recomending BushHog brand rear blade instead od JD/Frontier: what say you all?
