Ill give them a call, thanks. I really would like to keep the older one going also, as its in great shape otherwiseTry Batteries Plus. They will replace the battery for about $100.
The same goes for GM vehicles, cars and SUVs that rely on suspension parts out of their Korean Deawoo parts suppliers. Many have gone defunct since covid. GM can't get parts for warranty and nobody can ever get parts beyond warranty either.I have a 2008 John Deere 4120 CUT tractor and John Deere does not make the part for my tractor. The dealer was informed they are not making parts for it anymore. The part is the PTO valve module. When told this I wondered what the hell. The dealer did say that for now they can get the parts to rebuild it, springs ,valves, pistons, O-rings and more. Lucky for me the body was okay. I got that tractor because I wanted a tier 3 and not the tier 4. Called Stiner for parts and they said only for really older tractors and this was too new. So I asked dealer what would I have done if not for getting parts to fix it and he said "not a thing". He said parts are only available until they are all gone. Are all tractor dealers getting like this. I know they have after market for cars, trucks but when you spend a lot for a tractor you expect to get parts when needed. My dealer checked with all dealers of tractor parts and even Deere's remand plant but none. He even checked with salvage yards but no luck. Have any of you had the same problem.
'available for order' means the supplier is still in business and 'could' make parts. The wait times are measured in 20 weeks or more for production back logs and then 4 weeks thru distribution channels before seeing at your doorstep. This is how my facility is running. OE manufactures take priority, then resell to the dealer networks, aftermarket, warranty are on long hold lists. My local dealer here is IL also shows it available for order
Just an update to my original post. Dealer tried again and tried several different parts warehouses and no luck. They did however were able to find all the parts to completely rebuild it and even with labor with a cheaper price than a new one. Don't know how long parts will be available but hope I don't have to do this again. You must be mistaken. On another thread many folks commented that one reason to pay more for green was due to parts availability as the tractors get older.![]()
