Hi guys i just bought a 9 foot kba disc at auction for 450 bucks the disc blades look good along with the bearings i plan on using it to finnish my plowed fields any commentes pro or con as to this disc for leveling a plowed lot would be helpfull also an operators manual would be nice p.s. it dose not have a cylender i was thinking about useing a top link to adjust wheels up or down any advice would be great thanks art

Good disk but your going to need a cylinder.... I don't think those disks are flexible enough to turn on the end of the field without picking it up. The front gang is going to throw up a rut when you try to turn unlike a old drag disk.

You can get a device called a ratchet jack at TSC that is inexpensive. Hyd. cyl would be best. Ken Sweet

I have a 13-ft Minneapolis Moline KA-1300 wheel disc ($600, actually made by Krause and rebadged by MM). It has a pretty big hydraulic ram lift the disc. I wouldn't try to turn it without raising it-- the pans would really take a beating if you did that every time you reach the headlands.

Also the ram on my disc is a big sucker--your's probably is also. Probably cost a few hundred $$ new.
