once you get it primed (ive changed my setup to make it much easyer) it works well down to about 18-20' It will pump down lower than that but wont build enough pressure to kick off the high-side switch.

high side cutoff is ~50psi and will pump continuous (when the well is high) at about 35lbs (right out the end of an open hose) which is a lot better than what i get out of the city yard hydrant.

that's a slick setup,,
and i see they offer it in 3/4 hp also, less amps.

i have the luxury of pulling from a pond that is
somewhat elevated, so i almost get a siphon effect
and don't have to worry about pulling water up... just
pumping up at times.

so far what i have is working great, although last nite
i was rushing around and kicked the power cord and pulled
the wires right out of the control box! oops
