My worksite finally came in sans accessories (top, speedo & bedliner). Great machine overall. It had the famous rattle as soon as it was unloaded, but I tweaked the bed side a bit with a good yank and it hasn't rattled since. Instruments haven't fogged yet, temperature hasn't gone past the "T" in temp, and it came with the seat restraint cable. Little stickers on the tires say they were installed on August 5th.

I do have problems getting around on the property however... I guess "steep" hills are a relative term. I have to use low range and differential lock often and even then just barely move forward while hopping up and down. My Prairie 650 will go way more places with ease, although I understand it is a different animal.

I've included a couple photos because it will probably never be this clean again. :)

Congrats!!! Sounds like many of the problems on the earlier models have been corrected.
I concur on the hill issue. I have several hills that I have to do the same. Even in low range, it almost sounds like it'll stall. No way I can do it in Medium range. (I've tried and it very quickly stalls).

Wow, beautiful background! I don't know if it will help with your particular soil conditions, but changing rubber definitely helped the hill climbing ability of my RTV. I'm glad to hear that Kubota has addressed some of the first year bugs in their RTV. I'm sure you'll love the RTV. Again, you certainly live in a beautiful area!

Thanks, the area of Deluz is nearly unknown even to people living 10 miles away and is unique. I hope it stays unknown.

I've been following the threads regarding tires and I do think I may have to go that route but I'm not sure which to get. I drive a couple miles a week on paved road and the rest of the time on hard-packed, but dusty dirt (no rain from April through November). The dirt is often covered with leaves and branches. My ATV's tires wear out quickly on the pavement, but they do great in the dirt. I was hoping the worksite tires would be a good compromise.

We had a 1150lb. freight delivery today and the 40ft. truck couldn't get in the driveway... so I hopped in the RTV and took it out to the truck. We loaded it all in the back and I couldn't even tell it had a load! I even tested the dump and was able to lift it with no problem. Maybe I'll leave it in and try some hills tonight for grins.

Yeah, great dump system. I was "disappointed" in it's dump ability the first time I used mine. That was until I actually figured that I was hauling well over 2000 pounds in it. It was amazing that it drove just fine with that much weight in it. I had to shovel a few loads out by hand before it would dump though. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Oops! It did prove that this thing will certainly haul a huge load.
I had to laugh. I read a post somewhere when I was surfing last night that Daedong (or whatever company makes Kioti) was buying some RTV's. The poster figured that the ole' cayotee company would have the RTV's copied and have their version out by year end. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Gotta love it. What do they say, "imitation is the best form of flattery" or something like that.

Just got back in from driving my new RTV around my hills with 1150lbs. loaded in the back. I was able to go up hills without using different lock that needed it when empty. It felt like nothing in the back except that I had to use low range for a couple hills that used to make it in medium. The hills that needed low when empty were actually easier with the load (go figure).

In one place I had to crawl over a fallen tree limb. If anything, it felt a little smoother riding than usual.

I'm figuring out that much like my orange tractor, low is really low like a granny gear and medium is more like high range.

Really liking this thing. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

well ya gota remember too that the whole utility vehichle thing was basicly started with the kawasaki mules, they were the first to make such a different vehicle over 15 years ago, i own a mule from the mid 90s and i gota say that i am not all that impressed with the way alot of things were designed, but its a great vehicle and gets more use than anything around here. i just got done welding in all new diamond plate floors to replace the rusted out old ones, and i also relocated the battery to under the seat so i had a little more floor space for tools and stuff in the cab, and i made the new battery box big enough to take a fullsize car battery too instead of that odd sized battery they had originaly
