Jump start Toolcat

So still new to my 2007 Toolcat and wondering how do you go about jump starting it when you have a dead battery. Battery is hidden behind bed and skirting. Thinking of adding jumpstart cable that is accessible

Is the positive cable from the battery accessible under the right side engine panel where it goes to the starter?

I have a newer TC and that is where I connect the battery tender.

You can remove the black plastic exterior panel outboard of the battery location to gain access to the battery. It has just a few screws holding it on. You can also raise the bed with a hoist if you have one.

I did install a hardwired jumpstart cable so I can jump others and I can be jumped as necessary. Easy to install and works perfectly.

I ran battery cables from battery to exterior thru the body fins adjacent to the battery and protected the outside tips of the cables with short lengths of rubber tubing. Not only are these cables useful for starting a dead battery, but they are also useful for a myriad of other functions that require a bit of battery juice (like my pull-behind grader). Since my Toolcat 5600 is parked under cover, I always park it with the bed elevated, just in case the battery needs to be replaced.

Do you lock the safety on the cylinder each time you raise it? If I don't, it lowers itself overnight.

When I park it for an extended period, I do lock the safety.

You can rig up two jumping / charging posts external to the battery cover. That way you have easy access at all times…

Added an lead for my jump box. Should be good for when it happens.
