Into every life a little sunshine breaks through now and then. At 6:49 pm CST we were almost blinded by an explosion of light.

That was my youngest with her new son Ethan. The term "grandson" takes on a whole new meaning somedays. He's not the first, necessarily the best, or the most wonderful, just the newest. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Here he is with someone I feel confident in saying he'll get to know quite well.

My daughter married a fella that's like her father in some ways. One of them is getting involved when something's dear to his heart.

I'll confess to a little bit of prejudice on this one occasion.

Ain't he about the cutest thing you ever seen in all your born days?

He came with a full head of hair just like his mama.

And yes, I'll have the old trucks and tractors dug out so we can play in the sand box this weekend.

Seven pounds nine ounces and twenty inches long.

And no, he don't much like nurses with needles. He might have got that from his mother's side of the ledger.

That is a good looking boy! Congratulations on your new grandson. My two year old granddaughter was over yesterday and helped me feed the fish. Some of the fish will have to crawl up on the bank to eat the feed she threw, but we had a great time. Maybe you have a future gate builder in your newest family member.

Congratulations, Harv! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Nothin' wroughtn 'bout that boy!

If you looked any prouder, you'd probably bust an important gasket somewhere. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Good thing you know how to fix stuff.

Thanks for sharing the happy event. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Congratulations Harv! That is one healthy lookin' boy. Thank goodness he has his mother's looks instead of his granddad's. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Congratulations Harv! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Cute little fellow. Being that you're an experienced grandpa already, I'm sure that the little guy has some terrific times ahead of him with old Gramps! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Yep, a new grandkid is more fun than a new tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Congratulations. My guess is he'll be getting a hand-made, steel & stone crib. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks to all.

The three of them are doing well and due home tomorrow.

I will confess to a little envy when I see how fathers are treated these days. There's a part of me that regrets not being a little more involved. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

But that was then, this is now. Ya'll count your blessings.

Again, thanks, and my daughter is my number one hero. It's a long story. But if I was half the man she is a woman I'd be down right wealthy and have every belt they give in the WWF. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
