We just came in from our evening walk. There are hog tracks all over the place, but we didn't see anything.

Here are a few pics from the game camera. Notice the date and time. They where out all afternoon while we where out shopping for Karen's rifle.

If she is good with the recoil at the bench, she will never even notice it in the field.

. . . Karen wanted me to shoot her rifle first and get the scope adjusted for her. I fired it about ten times with my last three shots being the picture of the target. We'll get better groups once it's been fired a bit more and we find the right ammo for the rifle, but for now, I'm very pleased with what it can do. The kick is minimal, and more of a push, then a hit.

She was scared and her stomach was all butterflies before she shot it, but after her first shot, she was all smiles.

Eddie,
Do you reload?
If so, save those brass and find the bullet and velocity that the gun likes.
Typically, I've found that if you reduce the velocity just a little bit, groups will tighten up.
Some of my all-time favorite bullets are the Sierra GameKings.

Good luck with the lady and her new gun.

I've spent a lot of time reloading, but don't enjoy it and found that with premium ammo, I can find something out there that shoots great without any of the time it takes to create it.

I understand. If it's not your thing, well that's OK.

I do enjoy it, and take a great deal of satisfaction in "rolling my own." And, it really gets me excited when I take a deer (or whatever) with one of my reloads.
BTW, I also reload my shotshells for hunting and Skeet shooting. I usually load several thousand shells per year.

Cranking them out with a good progressive press is like therapy. Just clunk, clunk, clunk as they fall in the collection box.. yeah!

I like the idea, but have not been able to justify expense over my existing Rockchucker single stage.

I never moved up to a Progressive press but I came really close to pulling the trigger on a Dillon. But using the Rockshucker was zenlike. I ran out of time to shoot matches so I have not made any ammo in awhile and I miss the process.
