I was on vacation and just got back. The guy lives 10 minutes from my house! I have a 3 pt snowblower, but a front mounted unit would have been great. Oh well /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

DAP(per) Doug.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.... It is a good thing that we didn't stop..... you would have lost a Greyhound and I would have had a hard time explaining another dog..... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Sure would love to have another hound, but with 3 now, it is definitely out of the question. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Yes, it was the one that was on e Bay. I contacted the seller and he told me that he was selling it for his father. He also told me that the reserve was $1500. I gave his father a call and offered him half of what I could buy a new one for locally. I have a $2000 price picked up from a local Kubota dealer. That price is just the parts, assembly extra. After reading the manual, the assembly isn't that much. He accepted my offer and I was on the way that Saturday to pick it up. I had no idea that there was more to be had. When I got there, I started looking around his garage and saw the other items. I asked about them and we made the deal for the rest of the "stuff". I would have even offered to buy the tractor, but it wasn't for sale. He needed to move these items, because he is leaving for a extended vacation for 15 - 18 months... No it isn't jail, but Paridise.... he is going to the Marshall Islands in the South Pacific for a work related project. He is a engineer and this is his next assignment.. It was a great deal for both of us. He got some spending money and I got a few things that I wanted. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif The only thing that is missing is a $16.00 part that was forgotten on the tractor. It is the hose retaining bracket. If I can get to him before he leaves, I am certain that he will mail it to me. He is a extremely nice person.

( I recently learned of a "used" BX snow blower in NJ, and I sent an e mail to the person selling it. )

I sent him an email too, looks like you beat me to it! /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Good luck with it, heck of a buy, that's for sure! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I didn't steal the welder!!!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I just made him an offer that he couldn't refuse... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif After all, the bottle and spool of wire was where the value for what I paid is and the rest was the "gravy".
I haven't fired it up yet, because I don't have a receptacle for the plug installed yet. Getting a welder was on my low priority list, along with finishing up the wiring for the new garage. As long as the lights work, what else do I need? /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Possibly I should start a thread as to "how do I wire a welder" and see how many different opinions that I can get. If you would like to come over and give me lessons in welding, it would be appreciated. The last time I welded was with a stick welder when "Rex was a pup".... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Friggin consumers. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Doug....since you have been so negative about the welder, I sold it to my neighbor this after noon.... after reading all the negative comments, I figured that it was a bad buy and I sold it for $10 just to get rid of it. I also had to throw in a free lunch that cost me $15.00... I would have saved $$$$$$$ if you had offered to take it off my hands for free... with me paying the shipping of course... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
