I have an old Ford tractor. The 172 cid engine weighs more than my truck diesel V8 with it's aluminum intake and aluminum heads. It only gets 1/10th of the hp the truck engine does. No question about why it will still be running in 40 more years. Similar story on all the rest of the parts.
Tractors are simply made and rugged with few things to go wrong. Power windows, etc etc.
If you want an accurate comparison, look at tractors with 300 hp and full cabs with all the bells and whistles. They run 500k not 50k!
