I just laugh and point to a sign when the stihls come in. Guys so mad they cant get them started.

It has nothing to do with brand. He has to do with owners and the maintenance of OPE IMHO.

Well, when every other brand I've ever had my hands on starts just fine and the Stihl won't.... When it's such a rampant issue that there are jokes and memes about Stihl all over the internet.....

It's not just their chainsaws. Their weed trimmers are just as bad. I have never in my life touched a piece of Stihl equipment that was worth pissing on if it was on fire.

A cheap Kobalt from Lowe's is even better than a Stihl.

I'm down to one Stihl and won't be buying any more.

My ancient 028 always starts on the second pull. Must be the canned fuel I use...lol

People are baffled by carbs with no primer and how to start them.

It's really not that hard...

With a cup of coffee these days that cost $7, $14 for a chainsaw part is cheap....
IMHO only fools pay that much for coffee. Let alone 14 for a decomp plug. 10mm short bolt  😂

Old saying a fool and his money are soon parted. :ROFLMAO:

Right over bench 1 of 3.

Inside a echo 2511 OEM muffler. Now you can see why they can not breath and need help big time.

Least no cat BS like in some of the others.

Friend had uncrimped his even after adding a gill exit before.

Stihl 034 super original owner. Just got to tell the story so others dont make same mistake he did.
Complaint was hard to start. Ask what all it did and he runs e-free so thats a good thing. He said he pulled the plug and cleaned and gap per manual.
😉

I was like last time that saw was in pretty sure I put new plug in it so gap was right. I said show me where you gapped it on my gap tool as I was pulling plug. .050 he showed me on the tool. He says per his manual that came with saw. I showed him manual online it says .5mm
😉

So then I go outside to start it. notta nothing. I'm like it have mix? Sure should have plenty. Open cap notta. So put some of my efree 40:1 vpracing in it and low behold she fires off. Shut off and tryed again from on started again.
Check the small things folks as owners. Double check your reading it right etc too.
So now I have left with 10 freaking chains to do for him grrrrrrr. I hate doing chains and it's repetition crap.

I grin a shitte pile of chains and it is repetitious. I just turn on the local rock station to pass the time. Switched my ultrasonic cleaner over to a lye - water mixture to clean loops prior to grinding them. The lye removes all the pitch and crap on the teeth and keeps my CBN wheels much cleaner. I do have to oil them post grinding however. I've tried Simple Green and Berryman's and neither work as good as lye and water heated to about 120 degrees.

Just has another 50 or so dropped off this morning. I'm excited. Whole milk crate of chipper knives as well.

I don't 'uncrimp' them at all. I grind off the crimped over part with my large flat plate grinder, mod the muffler and then weld the 2 halves back together again. I either use a MIG or I TIG them if they are clean.
