Just bought 1992 MF 40E Industrial

First post and first tractor. I have been looking for a good used tractor for quite some time hard to find where I live, Whidbey Island, WA. I finaly bought this MF 40E industrial now I am worried about finding parts and getting it serviced as it seems to be kind of rare tractor done lots of searchs and the ony web site that talks about industrial MF is Big Deans. I have been to Big Deans web site but it does not talk about the newer industrials as the 1992 40E is a 60HP. Any one know good web site or knowledge source for this tractor. Tractor is a hydro with MF 35 loader has a std 3pt, 4wd, wheel whieghts and paid 11k probably too much? Everything works good but the 3pt falls fast as soon as engine is shut down and I am sure that is not cheap to fix.

I haven't kept up on the prices of the industrials, but that sounds like a good price to me. Is it in good shape and how many hours does it have?

It is common for the 3pt to drop on a ferguson when not running. If it performs while running forget about it.

Everything works good, sheet metal is good tires 50% but it has alot of hours a little over 5k which seems like a whole bunch to me.

If my memory serves me, that tractor is actually made by somebody else. Of course I cannot remember the name but at least you know that it is not as rare as it sounds like. If it has four transmission ranges then it is the tractor that I am thinking of. Maybe a manufacturers plate or serial number plate will give some clues.

Thanks Guys it does have 4 transmission ranges. as soon as I get it back from the dealer I will post the serial numbers haveing all the maintenance done.

Thanks TractorTodd, Fermec was the name that was escaping me!

The name is all that I know about that tractor camanche, I saw one that was labeled Fermec and it caused much confusion among us untill somebody said it was a Massey in one way or another.
