Just Bought a 72 Massey 135

Thanks guys ive got the service manual on the way. I spent 5 hours on the tractor yesterday doing some shredding over some rough country, wich the tractor performed flawlesly but wow my behind and back are paying for ot today! Any suggestions on where to find a good seat with maybe some sort of shock absorbing system that is easy to adapt to the tractor?

6'1" and over 200 pounds, I hear ya', mine had the original hard mount pan and cushion seat, kids bought me this as a Xmas gift a few years ago. Under $200 I think. Tension adjustable, sure took the strain off my back.

YOu're right--the OEM seat on the 135 sucks big time-comfortwise.
Maybe something like this

A & I Products Big Boy Suspension Tractor Seat — Black, Model# BBS108BL | Construction + Agriculture Seats | Northern Tool + Equipment}

You may have to weld up an adapter to get it fitted to your 135.

If you look at the hand throttle rod from below operate the hand lever you will see a large disc ,the disc controls the TRAVEL of the throttle lever if you operate the throttle lever to full throttle ,with the engine STOPPED you will see it touch the adjustable bolt, there is a stationary bracket that bolts onto the battery box and just below that there is a big nut you need a 3/4" a/f spanner just tighten a little bit at a time till you feel that is is tight enough not to much give it a try before giving it more it only needs to hold the throttle at the position set at.
