Are your tires loaded?????
If not you should get them loaded, this should help, I never tried to secure a barrel to the 3 pt lift arms, if you try you would have to secure it enough to get no movement or shifting of the barrel

No. How much weight would that add and approx how much would it cost?

I think loaded rears would be a must have for your situation. Then a ballast box would be a help as well. Check here to see an inexpensive ballast box a member (soundguy) made, a lot easier to put on and take off than the chained barrell idea.

Hey asdf!

I had the same thing happen with the front axle on my new 3510 just yesterday. It didn't knock the cap all the way out, but it did bend it and it's leaking. Do you know if this is a very hard fix?

That sounds like a lot of work just to add weight .

I loaded my tires and put a 6 foot blade on the back when I don't have the BH on . That solved my problems of the rear tires wanting to come off the ground.

It does wake you up when it happens though.

Any weight you add to the back of the tractor will help, but you want to make sure it doesn't come loose. I would try and get the rear weight into the three point hitch, or on the rims, or load the tires so I new it couldn't come loose.

Very easy. You might first try putting the old one back in place. Use a block of wood against the cap and hammer back in place. If it still leaks, you need to replace it. Use a screwdriver to knock a hole in one side of the cap to pry the old one out. There is a recessed ridge on the cap. Place the screwdriver edge there and it will clear the ridge of the axle that the cap goes against. Place the new on squarely in place and push up enough to hold it. Use the wood block method above to finish getting it in place.

Thanks for the tip. I just looked up a Box Blade and looks like I can get 6' for around $400 and add about 300# at the end of the 3ph. Way cheaper than what would happen if it tipped over.

That's for sure. Reminded me of the horse we used to have on the farm when I was a kid. His back end kept coming up trying to throw you off, too.

http://www.rimguard.biz/

asdf
above is a web site for rimguard, a liquid ballast for your tires, unfortunately my tractor came filled with calcium chloride,me being a newbie at the time I did not know about Rimguard or it would have been my first choice.
it will add 1100+for 2 rear tires, 300+ for 2 front tires for a total weight gain of nearly 1500lbs. Cost is unknown, dealer loaded the tires as part of the "sale"

Thanks. I really wanted to spend my money on equipment that I could actually use. Although many recommended loading the tires, this wouldn't allow that, was going to cost a lot, cause rust, be inconvenient, I couldn't undo it readily etc. I found the perfect solution. Got a 3ph Carry All from the local implement dealer, put a 55 gallon drum and filled it with sand (I have plenty of both on hand) and strap it on with two heavy-duty cords. Tried it out this morning and I can easily carry a bucket load of wet sand without rocking/tipping. Best of all, when I'm done, I just drop the drum (that's sitting on oak planking) onto two 8x8s and drive away. Now I also have a Carry All for other things I'm needing done.

You would "actually use " your filled tires every time you worked with your tractor. You would have good traction all the time! Rimguard does not cause rust, some people use washer fluid to fill their tires, cheap and probably won't rust, either. as far as "inconvenient" fill it once-and forget about it, no putting on or taking off.But , if it works for you, that is all that matters. Good luck with your new tractor
