I read all the post pertaining to the bx2350 and even still thought the deal was to good to pass up. I drove it around and did notice the abrupt stop in reverse but didnt see it as anything I couldnt adjust to.
I gave 11900 for tractor, fel and 60 mmm. Then last minute I asked for 4' box blade. So out the door was real close to 13000. The bx2360 was available from another dealer 30 minutes further away for 2000 more. There is always one tractor better for a little more. I had to stop some where.
I have 3 acres and about 40 small trees (oaks I planted) and another 15 or so trees to go around. I built a barn in the back and need to build a road to it to get my 5th wheel out when the yard is wet. Also I will need a small ditch from the back to the front to get rid of standing water after the long rains.
After that I will be just about done with the fel and box blade. I thought about just a Zero turn mower but I really like these tractors.

I also had a chance to get a 06 (60 mm and fel) with just under 400 hours on it. It looked almost as good as the 08. The price was 8200. That would have been about 3500 cheaper all said and done. (It is still availabe if looked in the Houston craigs list advertised for about 10000 from friendswood)
I thank all you folks for spending your spare time and sharing your experence.

Congratulations on your new tractor; nothing quite like a new tractor.

I bought my first tractor 6 years ago, a BX2200 MMM FEL. Figured I was buying a life time mower at that price. Also figured the FEL was almost a foolish expenditure after maybe a couple of years and getting everythng done and didn't figure it would do much with it's size. I was so foolish just a few years ago.:) I bought my 10th one last week and have 3 Kubotas now. I have finally finished most of my major landscaping work, unless I do decide to tackle my really really steep 3 acres and finish it off. I now have for home use a BX2669 FEL MMM which should do most of my jobs here at home. My point is, when you get started with one and realize what all the little beasts will do, you never run out of uses so you'll probably use it much past the couple of years and wonder how you ever made it without one unless your like me and lived down town 16 years before moving back out to the burbs. I had a BX2350 and it's a sweet machine as long as you can accept the abrupt reverse stop, it will do the jobs.

Congratulations on your new toy-ah I mean MACHINE! You "THINK" your done there? I don't think so! Last spring, I bought the BX25 (FEL BH) with a mower deck and grasss catcher and a set of turf tires. 6 weeks later, a tiller. Few weeks after that a 12' dump trailer. At Christmas, a back blade. Added LED work lights on the ROPS, and the mower deck axles, I made myself. While it's still clean, you MUST wax it!

In the spring, I intend to apply POR 15 to the underside of the mower deck, and the underside of the trailer for protection, and then topcoat it. Also, the double doors on my shed aren't large enough to fit the tractor thru with the grass catcher on...the projects are endless, and fun! Congrats!:D

I'm just reading along and enjoying so many posts and questions....and things that I never thought about. But what is POR 15 that you will add to the underside of the deck? Over the past about 30 years I have kept the underside of the MMM of my Case 448 fairly clean by scraping it regularly and occassionally repainting it or spraying it with Scotch Guard or WD-40. This MMM on the BX2660 is bigger and heavier and I'm a lot older now.

picked it up today. Tryed the box blade out on the drive way. I have a learning curve to go through. Used the FEL to clean up the pile of driveway material and have a learning curve there too. The only yard I could cut was lots of weeds but the mowert couldnt even feel it. After a short time the engine speed throttle would not stay in place. Kept going back to idle. Called the dealer and the Mechanic had no idea what it could be, was going to make some calls and get back to me tomarrow. So I came here and did a search and right away seen the problem. There is 2 nuts on the bottom of the lever that were never tightened. So with the help of all you fine folks I think I will be able to enjoy this Toy. I mean tractor
