Somehoe I lost my peltor headsets, the kind with the digital radio and you can plug your iPod in. Depressing.

The wife was at the depot and found these for me.
Tek4 Audio Plus Noise Suppression Headphones RP4530-RP4530 at The Home Depot

My initial review is generally positive. They are not noise canceling headsets, like expensive Bose. Instead they are ear muffs with a microphone that is directional so that if picks up voice frequency but does not pick up extraneous noise. For the most part it works well. It would be good for someone who works with others. For a tractor driver it is kinda pointless. I dislike the custom battery setup, would prefer old fashioned aa batteries. iPod works well which was the most important thing for me. And the price was right. Headsets are not overly comfortable but no worse than the norm.

Hope this helps

Carl

There was a thread about these a year or so ago and I purchased them based on that recommendation. I don't use the mic feature, but they do a good job with noise and allow me to listen to my Droid, which doesn't have a lot of volume. Wouldn't be without them on my ZTR. I seem to remember paying more for them, so this looks like a really good deal to me.
