Just can\'t do it..

I've used IrfanView and other resizing programs. Set my Canon Powershot to the smallest pixels it would go and still I can't post a decent size picture.
In order for me to stay under the 100Kb limit the picture is just too small to see good.

Any ideas?

I've used PIXresizer with good success. Do a search on pictures resizing, I got the link from TBN.

The attached picture from my Canon A60 started out as a 1600x1200 jpeg at 888 kb. Using Irfanview, I resized it to 800x600 (one of the available one-click default sizes) and saved it to my desktop using 50% "quality" and a new name. It's now 96kb, and still pretty sharp, I think.

When it was loading, it looked like it said ".bmp" - a bitmap image. Make sure you save it as ".jpg" - a jpeg image. There's a box to select your file type there in the Save As function.

You are right. It was the way I was saving it.
This should be larger.

Hopefully it WILL make short work of the road. It's new.
I have about 400' to clear. We only used the camp in summer but this year we plan on using it year around.
