just got price for rear remotes. Doesn\'t seem righ

I just got off the phone with my dealer looking for the parts to convert my FEL to quick attach. while I had him on the phone I asked about the price for the rear remotes.
Get this...
For one remote the cost was $350
for two remotes it was the original $350 plus $600 more.
This doesn't seem right to me. Does it sound right to anyone else?

All depends on what tractor you have, but if the tractor is already stamped out for 2 rear remotes, likely it is a mix-up & the cost for 2 remotes is $600 total.

If your tractor is designed to add only 1 rear remote from the factory, then all bets are off, as the 2nd remote needs to be added in somehow with home-brew parts. Would then be cheaper to skip the factory rear remote, & put in an add-on 2 remote setup from scratch.

Sorry, I went in and updated my profile. I haven't had the Jimna in a while and it came with rear remotes.
I have a 2001 TC40d with Super steer

List price on the first remote is $284.00 with the second remote being $503.00 this does not include freight to get them in to the store or labor to mount them. So the prices seem to be in line with what a dealer would charge for them plus installation. Remotes are just expensisve.

Jason, that just seems backwards to what has been historic pricing. In my case and most others I've ever heard, the first remote was around $500 and the second was far less. I can't imagine why suddenly the price is reversed. Of course, I never understood why any of them were any different in price. Except for the plumbing and the levers, they are all the same as far as I can tell. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I will ask that same question to our NH rep when he comes by the store the next time around. I know of on the Kubota side many of their models the remotes are the same price no matter which position you are talking about.
