Just joined this interesting site. I do lawn care for 50 yards, most of it residential. My trouble is keeping the equipment running. Some of the boys are rough on the equipment and I cant watch them all of the time. Right now I am making an alternator bottom bracket to replace the ear on a Kubota Diesel engine on a Walker mower. The first one made from 1/8" angle iron broke, but I think it was a matter of alignment instead of thickness of metal. Anybody have that problem with a Kubota 20.9 diesel engine?
I also have a JD z425 that wont start, except by dripping gas diectly into the carb. Have changed the fuel line and temp bypassed the filter and also changed the fuel pump from another mower that I know works. Do I need to take the carb off to clean out, or what?
Any help is appreciated
