Hi all. My wife of 50 years passed away may 3rd and I sold everything in San Diego ca and moved to comanche Texas.
I bought a house on 2 1/2 acres and bought a yanmar ym165 tractor to maintain the drive way the drive way and it has a large brush cutting deck powered by the pto. It has been a great little tractor but I just lost the hydraulic pump and am waiting for it to arrive. Could anybody recommend what hydraulic oil to use in it. Thanks in advance for any info you can give me.

As for your tractor question, that's usually best in the specific tractor section for your make. Yanmar is towards the middle.

These are so simple to maintain and I believe this came from either or to what Winston said. The only two choices I have or even had back then. I think it was Walmart though. Your after the JD. 303 or equivalent. I'm pretty sure that is still correct for a 1980-85 165. 6 forward and 2 Rev. Gear........

As for the hydraulic fluid as a few others have said, use JD 303 or equivalent. Can be found at Bomgaars, TSC, Wal-Mart and most farm stores.

No Bomgaars around here, never even heard of it?

We do have Agrisupply in this area and that is my main choice if i happen to be going that way.

We're big time now with a TSC. even. That pic. may have been TSC.. A friend in N. Ga. was looking for a crazy certain spec. which back then best I send him a pic. so I kept it. It was for his shop come to think about. Not Tractor or Auto. related. May have been a piece of equipment?
