Just one of those days

Woke up this morning all bright eyed and bushy tailed. Logged on the net. Then it hit me, where are my document files? Started looking, snooping, and then I found the culprit. Visual basic files (vbs) all over the system. Two in the windows\system directory, and one entitled 'LOVE LETTER...". Quickly renamed them, and then looked at it. There it was, the infamous 'Love bug' on MY system /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif. Read the code... that guy was one destructive ^%$*. So, I called into the office. Staying at home. Rebuilding the computer. Safer to reformat and rebuild. (My wife has clients, as a CPA, and I leave for yet another business trip, at 5 AM tomorrow).

What bugs me is that do I run a virus detection program, and I do keep it up to date!

Anyway, I am thinking of taking my tractor to the Philippines, to run over a certain guy!

Just this summer in Moultonborough,New Hampshire a teenager was caught hacking,but all he got was a slap on the wrist. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

On 60 minute they have shown at least 4 computer hackers even this last Sunday show,and they are mostly teenagers who are doing the damage and somewhat brag about it. /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif

We have the laws but in enforcing them seems to be another story.
