I did it! A couple of pics in the shop. See new thread under "Owner/Operating" called "2720 My First New Pics".

That was a ball today. Note, there's a guy on one of the pics left hand side....not me. That's my brother Mark.

Congrats on the new tractor!! I assume you bought it at Southern York Turf and Tractor in Shrewsbury (looks like their prep building)?
Who was your salesman...Jim? Super nice guy, Jim.
(EDIT: Nope, you bought it in Whiteford, MD)

Shame you couldn't hook up with Labsrus:

I'd wager you guys are pretty close to one another...

Keep an eye on Craigslist. You'll see a nice used PTO chipper listed on occasion. I picked up a very nice Woods 5000 chipper/shredder (in Stewartstown, BTW) for a grand. That was two years ago. When chippers or chipper/shredders show up on CL, you do have to move fast since they sell fast.

I was dealing with Harvey (Clyde) Adams at SYTT. He's a very nice guy and I bought my Frontier SnowBlower (walk behind), L130, poly-cart & ST45 all new from him. To be fair to him, I was taking a while to make a decision. I told him to be patient with me that he was guaranteed my purchase once my mind was made up......guess I pushed it. He had given me a quote on a 2320, 2720 & I managed to squeeze a quote on a 5425. The 5425 quote took a couple weeks to get and that was after they were not being manufactured anymore as they had been replaced by the new 5E & 5M series tractors. Anyway, the price was right, I told him we were there, however would there be one out there with the power-reverser transmission? He said he'd have the quote immediately...I felt bad and told him by the weekend would be fine! Never heard from him! If none were available, he should have told me....I'd have bought that one with the sync-shuttle.

Sooooo! I can not modify my barn to take on a cab tractor (5083E etc), therefore I made my mind up and bought the 2720 in the interim! It suits me better for now anyway. Oh yeah, Atlantic Tractor in, well you know...Whiteford, MD.

Bought from Bryan Marcinko! Think he's a real good guy too!

Where in PA are you?

I have a 2009 2720 and it's a blast.
I was wondering, however, how much work it is to get that backhoe on with the MMM brackets or even if it can be done. Sounds like it can be done since they sold you both implements. I'm interested in how they go together and how you like them onec you have a few hours on them.

Hey Jim,

Just saw your post...sorry for delay. Unfortunately the MMM and BH do not play well together. I will attach a link to a forum where I asked this very question, you can read more on this topic there. There you will find is a remedy posted by another tbn'r, bkennedy (see post#25). Enjoy

I love my 2720 too. I'm surprised at how much pulling/pushing power these tractors have.

Good luck with your question/decision. By the way, I decided not to get the MMM and bought an X500 instead. Very glad I did!
