Well gentlemen let me first thank all of you for your information and knowledge. This is the most informed group I've had the privilege of joining. I've read Muhammad's book and have been lurking among the novices in the massive "discussions" sections for several weeks. I've done the research; I've submitted the proposal, and the wife has stamped it with her approval. I ordered the BX22. Hopefully the dealer is truthfull when he states it will be here the last week of May. I'm skeptical givin' the thread of the gentleman who has had one on order for several weeks. I'll post pictures and further info as it becomes available. Here's the package,

Still waiting on prices for welded hooks on FEL. Toothbar

Three hooks welded on my BX2200 was $100, the tooth bar would have been $250 and I never got a quote on the mulching kit for the deck cause the dealer made "that face" when I asked him about it. Now I know there are some folks here that are probably using it and will swear by it but my dealer didn't think too highly of it for New England mowing.

Just got my BX2200 with FEL and the dealer threw in the hooks, and a ballcap, and some Baseball tickets.

You won't get it if you never ask!

WELCOME TO THE FORUM /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif think if u ask the dealer he might throw the hooks on for free. tooth bar should be around $250. good luck and keep us posted.

I was charged $130 for 3 hooks with reinforcement plates welded on. My dealer thought they charged me too much when he saw the invoice so he gave me the super UDT hydraulic oil, engine oil and all the filters for my 50 hour service, no charge. I was pleased.

Do you guys think I could get a local guy to come out and weld me some hooks, or am I risking damage to my bucket? I'm no welder...
I hate to send the unit to the dealer for a job like this.

I don't see why not. I'm having my neighbor weld on two hooks for me next week.

I added a hook with out welding. Used a cable clamp, drilled two holes in the beefed up part of the bucket and bolted it. I can get a pic if anyone is interrested. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
