Just ordered X748SE and stuff

Was at the dealer today, Southern York Tractor and Turf. Dealer told me estimated date is October 17th.....he also said he would not be surprised if it came in earlier.........is there an icon for crossed-fingers.......

I suspect it is more about logistics than anything, the machines have to be shipped in to the dealer and any accesories are in kit form and may come in from somewhere else. I don't think you are waiting for a machine to be built. Mine took about a week to get in, and an extra day or two for additional front weights.
