Planned on getting a set of OTT tracks to use in real muddy conditions as well as out in the woods.

Has anyone had any experience with TracksPlus Steel Skid-Steer Tracks ? They are listed at Northern Tool as well as my local JD dealer.

I will not be using these all of the time so I don't want to break the bank on a $4k - $5k set of tracks.

Primary use of the Bobcat for the next year will be supporting the construction of my new house.

I just use tire chains. Mud and low c/g dont work well, you’ll quickly learn that its tough to get unstuck when it bottoms out :p

I have use tracked bobcat's before and they have got me through everywhere I tried to go. I need a wheel loader because I have a mile and a half of road to keep up and tracks would wear out too quickly.

I was thinking OT tracks would work better than chains in the soft ground, just putting them on when I need to. Lighter footprint on the soft ground and yet 20 min to take them off for normal work.

I have a Cat 246. It's a tire machine from the factory and after getting stuck numerous times in the mud, then the snow. I looked into O.T.T or chains. .. then settled on a complete bolt on track system made by Loegering. .. have never. ..ever gotten stuck again. It completely transformed the stability and capability of the machine. I can't imagine going back to tires.

I've run Grouser brand tracks for the past 20 years, if you're in clay soils you'll never take them off. Grouser Products, Inc.
They have a pretty wide distribution network as most all of the SS brands sell them or can get them.
(I'd love to have a set of ^^^^ Tomtint's tracks, but last I checked they were over $11k for my machine)

I’ve got a set of steel McClaren tracks for my Machine I put them one when them I’ve told if run the tracks on rubber tires machine that hard your drive motor pumps that why I only use mine when to muddy or if I’m on real soft ground I can usually put mine in about 30 minutes to a hour
