COngrats on the new to you L35 and getting it out too! I was looking at the slopes in the pics and you can see thats a low area but I would say no problem based on the pcitures.

But reality is you have a lot of water and built up forest floor on both sides making it very soft. I wouldnt fill it in but use your new BH to place a few logs on each side parallel to the creek then drop in a culvert or two and then top with some more logs and debris so it flows and you can drive over.

I restored a L175DT with BH in 99 and got a B21 in 2000 - they are great machines and will do a lot.

The welding at the top gusset plate shouldnt affect your operation of the BH if its a good weld job so, just sand and paint and enjoy your new machine.

I'm going to do exactly that. I have some large PVC and plenty of fallen trees so I'm going to start stacking them and create a bridge. There were a few points where I could no longer sit down as the slope became a bit extreme as I was using the backhoe and loader to push myself out.

Based on the soft ground I doubt any machine would be able to get through it :confused2: I did learn how to use the loader and backhoe to get myself out though so it was a good learning experience.

One of the biggest things I like about the loader on this one vs my L245DT is the bucket angle. When you load dirt on the L245DT it's very hard to get dirt to stay in the bucket because you can't tilt it back more than a few degrees. The bucket on this machine is able to curl back quite a bit which is a big improvement. The speed of the hydraulics is also a huge improvement :)

That ain't a creek that's a bog. Ok so you learned about the art of inching your front wheels in to see how much they sink.

I have a small creek on my place also. If you dig out some of the muck and replace it with rock you will be able to drive through. Just pick a spot that is good to use all the time. I have one crossing point and that is all I use. You could put logs in also and drive on them. I think they call that a corduroy road. It looks like there is a trail going up the hill on the other side.
Look on you tube for video of how to walk the backhoe. It is not hard once you watch and get the system down.

I got it out but it was very scary and took me an hour or two. I'll have to create a bridge of some sort using dirt and gravel.

See, we was right. you can always dig yourself out with the backhoe.;) Hey, now you got another project to do putting in a culvert now.

At least you had patients enough to stop and take some pics for us all. When I get in predicaments, panic sets in and there's never time for pics.

Well done getting it out!!

Worst comes to worst there were plenty of trees to tie a winch to. I just built the road and threw down a bunch of logs and whatever I had laying around. The water is flowing through the pipe pretty good.
