I remember that Northern Tool used to sell a pickup truck mounted snow blower powered by a 25HP Kohler. No longer offers them. Found these, though. They cost a bunch.
SnowVac Front Mounted Snowblowers for Trucks, Tractors, and Loaders - Buhler Farm King Implements

============================================================================

All I can do is snicker and fall over laughing when I see these bloody things.

The Mt. Washington Cog Railway Company bought one of these bloody things
for their line rather than buy a small rack drive switcher that could be used for
everything including snow removal with the snow removal attachment and its
power unit and be able to keep the line open the year round.

If these manufacturers offered a two stage unit with a solid auger as is offered
by Pronovost in its a larger units they would have better performing machines
that would almost never clog and the snow would be cast further.

The impeller size would not matter as the snow is metered to the impeller
in a set amount per rotation of the cross auger.

If they used the Wisconsin 4 cylinder engines they could make a single stage
unit with a Rockford clutch and chain drive and they would never have performance
problems-provided the single stage snow caster was designed properly with a large
diameter solid cross auger with 3 inch tall auger flighting with a ten degree angle
with a single or twin chute and spout design.

BUT it all comes down to money and profit and or loss per unit sold.

During the Blizzard of 1977 a farmer was trapped at his place and he designed a snowblower for his 66 chevy pick up. It was four wheel drive and he mounted a forklift rack on the front bumper. A two stage six foot blower with wings was mounted to the forklift rack. He used a 6cyl. truck motor that took up the 8 ft. bed with all the cooling and hyd pumps, oil, and gas. Saw it at his estate sale and it was the subject of a good deal of talk. Neighbors said it really threw the snow but never had enough to really test it over the next 20 years. The auctioneers son bought it at that sale and they sent it up to another dealer in a northern state.

A milder cam would be better if it's available, since this is apparently a racing type engine.

There's a video on youtube of a walk behind blower about the same size as this one powered by a 454 chevy. It bogs down in heavy snow too because there's no governor. Sure does throw the snow though when he opens the throttle.

Most would be very surprised at the difference that can be made with adjusting the cam timing. Remember these are dual cams not a single cam like in an old v8 so there is much more room for adjustment. I do agree it needs a governor also, and think he has the gearing way off as well.

why would you not mount the blower to at least cover one side of the vehicle that way you could clear right up to the edge of something without having to drive over it. Then subsequent passes the other tire is still driving in clear path and not on snow.

smacks of an idea a kid tossed together without actually thinking anything through.
