4 or 5 years back now my Aunt & Uncle were killed by a bunch of kids racing. the kids were in excess of 120 on impact with their mini-van. They were both pronounced DOA or at the seine. the BRAND NEW hemi charger was racing a camero both heading to Drag Way 42 (ohio fame) driver was 19 and son of a big shot local lawyer who worked w prosecutors office. he had 2 other guys all under 21 in the car when they crashed. one of them in the back or front? was injured very bad, partly paralyzed. after 3 years the case kept getting pushed back with all kind of "Legal" action taken by him & daddy. last I heard he was getting 1 yr probation and loss of driving privileges until he turns 25 which might be already done...
While my aunt & uncle were up there in age their lives were still cut short. One solace was they went together....
the place they were killed is now closed, it was just one more in a long line of deadly accidents & there were two more afterwards prior to county closing that intersection off.
Back when we were kids we also ran around that corner going same way same MPH probably more than once. knowing the road well also we knew to watch for traffic back when there was a LOT less traffic. Knowing it could have been something WE could also have done to someone else helps you know how not to just say he should be in-jail rest of his life for 2 counts of vehicular manslaughter ...
