I stopped using the hard o rings that came with the tractor toolbox.I found the valve was very hard to reassemble with the o rings not wanting to slide back in the valve. By the time they were back in the vakve they were scored. I replaced it with a cheap o ring from a hardware store. the rubber is softer and compresses well so the o ring is not scored when the valve is put together. I think the clearances are so tight that the o ring will work fine. Also make sure you have cleaned out the orifices in the spools.
I then changed the oil in the backhoe before using the backhoe.
Since doing this I have about 20 hours on it and it seems to be working fine. Much better than before.
