I have just installed a new injector pump on my cub cadet 7273 tractor.
runs great now as long as there is no great load on the pto.
I notice if my finish mower gets into high grass and it starts to drop rpm there is knocking clanking sound
that seems to be centered near the engine fly wheel area.
so I am thinking the injector timing needs to be set. (assuming the torque curve is not at specs.)
I got a K3 engine manual and the timing setting is simple.
But NO timing Marks on the front pulley as shown in he manual.
Boy that I s a kick in the butt.
I need 19 degrees before TDC. there is supposed to be a mark of three lines which is the timing mark for setting the injector timing.
loosen the number one injector line at the injector nozzle, turn the engine clockwise until fuel is just seen to appear, and you are at the point where the injector timing mark is supposed to
line up with the stationary mark on the timing cover.
looking for bright ideas.
