has anyone purchased the kawasaki 3010 4 person trans? I need some feed back as to its hill climbing ability. Is the gas engine able to handle a 4 person load? any problems?

Never tried a TRANS but I did own the standard 2500 series Mule and it would pull good with two people in the front and two in the back. The TRANS is a little bigger but I think it will do the job.

I was also looking at the Mule 4 Person Trans. My wife perfered the Mule over the Kubota because of the noise. She didn't like the noise from the diesel engine. The Mule road nice when we test drove it and the engine was very quiet but I didn't like the screw lift being mounted on one side of the box but all and all a very nice machine. I would rather have the Kubota as I feel the hydraulics would come in handy for the woodsplitter rather then running the tractor all the time. I think all makers will have hydraulics in the near future. The things you can do with hydraulics is endless. I will be buying in spring and continueing to monitor this site for other peoples input. Has anyone else thought the Kubota was noisy besides my wife? Price qouted for the Kawasaki Mule 3010 Trans 4x4 in Red was $9195.00 +$795 for the electric box lift and $599 for a windshield for a grand total of $10,589.00 W/O Tax.

I have a Kubota RTV and it is noisy. The Gas Mule is a quieter machine. That said I think the Kubota is a better machine for many of the reasons that you mentioned and many more.

Back to the question: I have driven a Trans and it is a very nice machine. I have several customers that have them. No problems. They haul people around. They climb and tow without any problems. Mules are nice machines and they have been around for a long time. Sure the Trans is new to the line but they know what they are doing and they do it well. You should not have any problems. I own one and it has plenty of power to haul 6 people in it... It is quiet but 25mph seems slow on longer trips. My wife loves it... The longer wheelbase rides smoother as well. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Oh and I think this thing would climb a vertical wall in 4x4 low....

thanks to all for your comments - I read somewhere that the trans might be available with a larger 750 cc gas in the fall. They have their dealer meeting mid september and that is when it is annouced and orders are placed. -

Don't know about the 750cc... but I truly believe they would put a diesel in it first. the guy and UV country here in Houston was telling me about that whne I bought mine.

Just returned from a dealer to test drive the trans and really enjoyed the experience - solid. I was told there is a simple way to adjust the governor but they would not and can not educate me as to how that is done. I had the feeling that 40 or better would not be a problem. Kawasaki just wants to be able to display a farm use sigh - wsc

We had a Mule 3010 for a few years- sold it and got a Kubota RTV. Thye Mule was fine when it ran, but it didn't always run. Thy evidently have a problem with the carburetor "lacquering" up, and runiing poorly or not at all. The kawasaki mechanic alluded to this being an ongoing problem with Mules; evidently, engineering couldn't fix it. The Kubota is noisier, but much superior,IMHO, than the Mule.
