I believe he was referring to the lift, not the machines weight rating.

I did see it was about $900+ so that ended my interest in it, thought it was way to expensive for what it was. I did look at the install instructions and it does not list a capacity - would think it would lift the entire 1000lbs bed capacity???

I did see an aftermarket front rack but don't recall where. It was not factory but a custom outfitter.

The capacity of the hydraulic cylinder to lift the dumping bed not the capacity of the entire mule. I own a pro FXT and it is one great hauling machine

I am looking to buy a new UTV. There are so many good choices I am having a difficult time making a decision. At this time I have it narrowed down to a Mule, Gator, or Ranger. I can't decide if I like the 6 passenger option on the mule or not. Yes sometimes it would be nice, but the regular bed is 4 cubic feet bigger all the time. I also think it looks a bit sportier with less cage. I definitely want Camo because it always looks cleaner. The power lift is also a must, my dealer said it will lift at least 1000 lbs and maybe more. Although I found the flat bench seat comfortable I think it is kind of ugly and cheap looking. At this time I am leaning towards the 3 passenger mule, I also really like the gator. The Gator has a package that includes power steering and a power lift. The bed also comes from the factory with a linexed bed. I haven't looked closely at the ranger yet but I might. I am pretty sure it is either going to be a mule or a gator. It might just come down to the best deal.

Both the Gator and the Mule and nice UTV's. I don't use my 6 person seating much but it is handy when we have a few people that want to go riding but normally just have it set to 3 person mode and have the "big" bed.

Exactly what we do. I have a 2015 Gator, and normally keep it configured with one row of seats, and the larger bed. But when we have guests, and want to ride around our property, it takes about 30 seconds to open the second row of seating, and *poof*, off we go.

Sure is handy. We have two kids and if they each have a friend over my wife and I will take them all for a simple "trail" ride and go hiking down on the farm and the 6 seats works perfect. Never would have thought I wanted a 6 seat SxS but even when my elderly parents are over they sometime go for a little ride around for fun after dinner on a nice summer evening. Kind of the swiss army knife of the off road world.

Thank to all here with the positive info on their experience with the PRO-FXT.

Just took possession of the LE model in red to use on our CA vineyard.

Now to do some additions...LOL
