Nice looking shed!

In one of the pics, I looks like I can see daylight between the ceiling boards. What type of roofing do you have? Do you have a concrete floor in there?

This is only a guess, but I figure he has found an opening in the roof or along the fascia/ soffit. Probably a knot that shrunk and fell out.

How small an opening must such a snake have to get in? Bob

The height of the skull determines the size of gap that most snakes can fit through. Look at your coop from as many angles as you can (including from above or below, if possible)

I've heard about this before.......

Like said in post #9...... People will use wooden craft eggs or golf balls.... Put them in the nests so they smell like chicken.
The snake swallows one and can't crush like they would an egg to escape out the wire again.....
Dispatch snake, retrieve decoy egg and reuse.....

Good luck.....

Put three or 4 strands of electric fence wire around the lower 50% of the perimeter....I guarantee you snakes will leave it alone. I have not lost a bird or egg since "electrifying".....

An Australian old timers trick is to put an egg either side of the chicken wire. Snake swallows one egg then sticks head though the wire to eat the other. Snake then gets dispatched next time they go to the chook house as snake is trapped in the wire..............
