keeping straw in place on seeded yard...

I think someone, someplace, sometime mentioned there was a starch like product you can spray on the straw spread on a newly seeded lawn to help it stay in place.. A co-worker's straw will not stay in place..

Any ideas of the name or where to get it?

Try wetting it to stay in place. Can't help you with the starch product.

I forgot to mention in my original post - My co-worker tried watering it... But the wind blows pretty much all the time where he lives, and it dries out the straw in short order.. and then the straw is gone or accumulates in other areas..

I solved that problem last planting by skipping the straw. came up nice and I didn't have to mess with the clean up!
