KennyD, I know you have the same tractor I do and I know you have a repair manual on CD. Could you (and would you, please) look up the transaxle and see if part # M807385 (Plate) has a gasket? I get a small drip of Hydro fluid when I blow snow--no other time. Thanks in advance.
Jim

Glad to help...But not quite sure where to look? Where in JDParts did you find the number?

Thanks for the quick reply. I found the number on the JD parts listing for a 4110 hydro. The part # is for a plate that is at the front of the transaxle housing and is on the left side as you face the tractor from the rear. It holds the dipstick among other things.

Edit I goofed the part number is M807562. (from the JD parts catalog) I wrote down the number that was right underneath the one I wanted.

Jim, There does not appear to be a gasket there. Just looked all through the manual and could not find R/R of that plate though-But did find several others and no gaskets are used on those. Plus if there was one JDParts would show it.

Are you 110% positive it's coming from this plate? not sure what snow blowing has to do with it:confused:

Thanks, ! Yes, I'm sure that is where it is leaking. I got under there and completely cleaned and dried it and then tried it in a deep pile of snow. A few drops showed up in the lower right hand corner of the plate. I didn't run it enough for the fluid to run down from some place else. It only seems to do it when I have the engine reved up for blowing snow AND it is under a heavy load. Doesn't leak under normal use--at least not that I have noticed. Also, NO Drips on the concrete where I park it.

Boy, thats looks strange! Sure looks like a spot for a gasket to me, along with that assembly group #20. I see the only 'real' gasket is item #1 !! A further look at that diagram Kenny provided, and the associated parts list, they list PM37463 (Liquid Gasket) and PM37521 (Form a gasket) but no indication of where they're used!!

(Sorry to jump in here, but when KennyD speaks, I listen! ~S)
