I'm still clearing out drives and paths but schools are closed here. Got much, much more snow than NOAA had predicted. I've taken pics but it will take me time to process them

Ya well, the trails were in excellence condition,, more is not better. Still snowing here.

Here are recent photos of snow photos taken by us in the Keweenaw of Michigan. The Keweenaw is a very large peninsula that extends northeast into Lake Superior and receives ample lake snow. Just ask if you don't know what lake snow is. The 1st two photos is our roof snow. Let us know if you like them and we'll add more as they are taken.

I had to give up Snowmobiling this year after having back surgery. I'll be 80 my next birthday so I thought it might be time, but your post sure brought back memories of what I am missing. WE have ridden through that part of the UP three times, and most parts of the UP numerous times. We started riding up there in 1990 and have missed very few years since. I have managed to convince my wife if I miss a year I need to go for two trips the next year. It has worked pretty well!!!!The most fun we have had is when we back pack across the UP. I still have my snowmobile so maybe next year I may try it again.

It was a beautiful sunny morning here in Keweenaw County but it is snowing again this afternoon.

Today we headed down to Lake Ste Kathryn so ski around the deer marsh trail. On the way past Keweenaw bay, we took photos of the ice fisherman just for Moss. More to follow.

I'll get ZERO ice fishing this year. Supposed to be 40s again next week.

First time in my life there was no safe ice. I started when I was about 8, so 54 years. Sad.
