~Significant Lake Effect Through Sunday~
Strong northwest winds will provide intense lake effect banding across Lake Superior with the most intense snowfall expected between Thursday and Saturday. However, the lake effect will begin for some areas over the next 12 hours, especially in western U.P. Intense banding will then move through portions of the central and eastern U.P. later tomorrow. These areas will have the best potential to see 3' of snow if the banding can hold steady through Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Either way, some areas is expecting around 2' of snow with lower totals toward central U.P.

We do have snow moving in. We did have skiff's most days this past week, but no good photos to post.

As I have said earlier, I have a place in the Eastern UP. We have never been there in the winter. This thread is motivating a friend of mine and I to get there in the winter. I would love to see it in person this time of year. Unfortunately, we don't have the means for transportation up there. Been doing a little shopping for tracks on our ATVs.

We seen good snow today, waves of lake snow pass that dropped visibility to 500 ft.

Mr. Arly, do you use the plow while grooming tracks? If yes, for what purpose?
