Keys

/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gifOkay, guys I've got one key to my tractor. I'm notorius for losing keys thus I'm a bit nervous about destroying/losing my key. Where do you get copies of your tractor made? I've tried several locksmiths and haven't found anyone who can make a copy of my Mitsubishi.

Go to a Cub Cadel dealer. Take you key with you and show it to them. Most tractor keys are the same, they don't make them. They just order them. If you want to order it, try Len. He is usually around here some where.

Some Ace hardwares carrys keys for tractors, but they may not have the one you need. They didn't mine, but I have a Yanmar, so I went to John Deere, they are the same key. Although like I said they have some, they even had some John Deere keys. Worth a try.

Thanks for the info guys! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I'll check with some of the tractor dealers. Our Ace here and the one in WV couldn't make the keys.

I got my Mitsubishi "extra" keys at the local Kubota dealer . Same key except for the name on the side .

That is the way my Yanmar key was, I got it at John Deere, so it said John Deere on it, but the same exact key. So you might not want to tell them what it is for, just ask if they have one like it.
