Previous sub contractor found one of our property stakes with his right front tire.
Maintenance guys blew our phone up asking to use our road. They knew their service trick wasn't gonna get through the powerlines.

Can I just observe that a) this is a boom truck, b) it has built in hydraulic jacks, and c) an easy way to move mass left/right/fore/aft? Sometimes I wonder about the training that is given to work crews, or how long any of them would last in, say, Alaska...

They tried using the Jack's to raise it up and shove logs under the tires. Everything kept sinking.
Talked to the supervisor this morning, they were out buying chains, blocks and come alongs.
Wife let them through the gate this morning and they got ahold of her asking for access again tomorrow. It's sounds like it's still stuck.
Sounds like a couple employees were screwing around thinking they could make it. Wife called them dumba$$es and suggested they take the trail next time

I'd take a day off if Matt was closer and gonna pull this out.
I do believe they are gonna have to suck it up and get a wrecker in there. Not sure how much progress was made.
We were 40 and sunny here today. Supposed to be in the 40's and some rain for the rest of the week
I'm sure it's getting really soft in there now

I guess I have been stranded in enough places without good recovery points, that this particular recovery looks like a piece of cake, so I am amused at how long it is taking and how complex it is getting. Probably company policy not to do it yourself, right? I remember carrying snow shovel like winch anchor points for sand and mud, and having to hand winch things out. It took awhile, but we always get ourselves, and others, out.
Still, I think a tandem axle would be a great investment for this particular truck, if not 6x6. Hmmm business opportunity?
