king kutter 4' offset?

i'm considering buying the 4' KK from TSC...i see on their website that it is offset to eliminate tire tracks. i don't see anything that shows how much it is offset. if it helps, i have a little branson 2910 which measures about 5'-6" across the back tires. any help out there?

I have that cutter. I don't see any inherent offset in the cutter itself. I do offset it with my 3pt arms. I've only offset mine 4-5" because I didn't want too sharp of an angle on the pto shaft.

Matt, I have the 4’ KK tiller that I use on a Kubota B21. I am not near the tractor at the moment so I can’t give you an exact off set amount but my tractor is similar in size to yours and the tiller will cover the right tire track. I’ll try to get a measurement later if no one else replies.

Hi Matt, I have a JD 2520 which has 20.5 PTO hp and can pull the 5' KK tiller just fine. Dont know what the hp of your 2910 is, but might consider the 5' model. Its only $300-$400 more. Just a thought, Good luck!!

the problem with the 5' is that it does not offset, so i'll end up with tire tracks through my tilled area. trust me, i'd rather have the 5', but it just won't work with my tractor.

i looked at befco and bush hog as well, but they're $1800-$2000, and i can't justify that.

still looking for the actual measurement if anyone has it handy.

I have the same tiller. I just used it last week for the first time. I was very impressed. My tractor is only rated 19hp so the pto HP would be lower. That is why I opted for the four foot model. It is offset about 6". My machine is 5' wide and this worked out very well. I wish I had had someone to take some pictures of it while I was tilling with it. If you think a walk behind tiller does a good job you haven't seen anything.

I've attached a few pictures of mine. I've been waiting since the first of the year to play with it. IMO........ money well spent, and for my machine a 5' tiller might have been to much.

I measured the offset recently at 4". This means it will cover the tracks for tractors up to 4' 8" wide, which is far short of your 5' 6" tractor.

this presents a problem. anyone have any suggestions? i don't have the tractor to run a 6 footer.

Just a question, can you flip your rear wheels around to narrow up your tractor when tilling? I know this is a pain but just a thought.
