I'm likely going to purchase a King Kutter box blade from TSC this weekend or next. King Kutter has 2 different models, the regular series http://www.kingkutter.com/WholeGood.asp?item=BoxBlades and their XB series http://www.kingkutter.com/XBProducts.asp?XBProd=48BoxBlade .

This is the reply I got from King Kutter when I asked which one I should get:
The 3 point spacing for Cat. 1 is 26" wide from pin to pin and 18" from
center of pin to top link hook up. We recommend between 20-30 hp for the
BB-48-Y.
If you have a Cat. O spacing which is 20" wide from pin to pin and 12" from
center of pin to top link hook up. If this is yours we recommend the
BB-48-XB which is recommended for tractors from 18-25 HP.
If your tractor is over 30 hp and Cat. 1 then you need a larger Boxblade.

My tractor is a 20hp 4100 model: what do you guys suggest I go with? Thanks.

Get the regular sized BB for your tractor. You do NOT need the XB series for your 4100.

I would get the regular one for the 4100. I have looked at the XB line and they are smaller in terms of volume of dirt it will support and smaller 3-point hookups for smaller machines. I think the XB line is a good fit for the X-series Deere where the hitch is much smaller than what you have on the 4100. Personally, I use a 4' traditional one on my 2210, no problem.

Good advice!

I checked out your website, you really need to reconsider parking that red thing in with your purdy tractor. Really unsightly!

/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif just kidding - looks great!

Thanks everyone, I had TSC order me the standard BB today so I should see it in a couple of weeks /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

RockyRidge, I'm working on getting a bigger place so the green family can all sleep together at night /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I think that was a good choice. I purchased the BB model about a year ago and use it most of the time. I don't make huge demands on it, but it seems to hold up very nicely.

I have a 4310 which isn't that much different than yours. Hope you get as much use out of yours as I have and are as happy.
