I've had one since 2003, seen quite a bit of use early on not so much lately. I did make chain guards for it once my son started using it.
Added a pivot joint at the top link so not to bend the top link. Son broke the A frame (tail wheel bracket) once at a weld, I welded and reinforced it. replaced the blade and tail wheel once after about 10 years of use.
It has been a good machine and I would buy it again if needed.
$400 is a good price, being only 6 months old, I thing I spent $600-$650 for mine in 2003.
