need opinions. my tractor has a 56 hp PTO, looking at buying a 6 ft. KK cutter, should i get the 40 or 60hp gearbox?? thanks in advance

I know your going to think I am crazy, but can you get a 75?
When you put 56 horsepower into motion, and then hit something solid, it pays for it to be a little over-built!

60hp is highest they have..

You certainly dont want a gearbox rated for less HP than your tractor has

no doubt, thanks for the replies.. believe i'm gonna go with the BH16. like the specs a little better

My opinion is to big or go home. The gearbox needs to be bigger than the HP of your current or possibly future machine for sure. Spending a few extra bucks for a beefier part is good insurance in my book.

If you are putting more HP into a gearbox than it's rated for that's just asking for it to blow up on you. Warranty's won't cover abuse outside of operating specs.

good advice... i have enough tractor pto power to go bh26 or brown 416 etc... not that much more in price.
